Steve Dill – Legal Adviser

Steve Dill serves as Gold Star Peak’s Legal Adviser and counsels the organization on various issues from the formation of Gold Star Peak to situations involving potential legal liability. 

Steve is an Army veteran and served with Kirk Alkire in the 10th Mountain Division. 

Steve was formerly a New Jersey prosecutor working in the Special Victims Unit, where he prosecuted offenders accused of sex-related crimes committed against children and in the Trial Section where he prosecuted offenders accused of violent crimes, narcotics offenses, and homicides. Steve previously worked as an attorney for Gibbons, P.C., the notable 200-lawyer corporate law firm and the venerable litigation firm of Tompkins, McGuire, Wachenfeld & Barry. 

Prior to his legal career Steve was a journalist for the Associated Press. He is a graduate of Syracuse University and Seton Hall University School of Law. 

Steve currently writes on legal issues as well as true crime and lives in San Diego, CA.

Federal regulations prohibit organizations like Gold Star Peak, Inc. from using any staff time or resources for partisan political purposes. This is a strict prohibition and any perceived violation could result in a costly investigation by the public, media, and/or IRS and could result in the possible revocation of Gold Star Peak, Inc. tax-exempt status.
