Shannon Wirth is the IT Director for Gold Star Peak, Inc., a corporation dedicated to honoring America’s heroes and their survivors.  Shannon is a program manager at IBM and a veteran of the US Army where she served honorably for nine years.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies and a Master’s in Information Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

In serving the Army as both a soldier and spouse, Shannon has grown close to the military, their families, and the patriotism of all that serve, support, and sacrifice.  An adventurer motivated by her husband John’s outdoor ambitions, Shannon has seen the healing effects of the outdoors and found great satisfaction in serving a like-minded organization in her pursuit of continued service.

Although the military has temporarily taken Shannon and her family out of Alaska, they find themselves thoroughly enjoying all the Black Hills of South Dakota has to offer. In their downtime, they like to hike, camp, and climb throughout the area.
